Your journey to effortless well-being

Welcome to The Bare Experience. Imagine your everyday food completely taken care of, designed around you. This is where simplicity meets nourishment, giving you back time, energy, and peace of mind.

Step one: We get to know you

The journey begins with you. We start with a short assessment and a complimentary consultation. This is our time to understand your lifestyle, your household, your schedule, and all your food preferences and needs. We listen intently to ensure every detail is captured.

Step two: Your Bare service is created

Based on our conversation, we craft a service that fits you perfectly. Instead of rigid packages, we personalise the right level of support around your unique requirements. This ensures your experience with The Bare Kitchen is truly bespoke.

Step three: Your personalised menu is designed

Next, we design a personalised menu tailored specifically for you. This menu is then shared for your review and approval, ensuring every dish aligns with your tastes and dietary needs. Your satisfaction is our priority.

Step four: Groceries are organised

With your menu approved, we take care of all the sourcing. Everything required for your agreed menu is meticulously arranged, from fresh produce to pantry staples, ensuring quality and convenience.

Step five: We come to your home

Finally, we arrive at your home. Fresh, natural ingredients are prepared right in your own kitchen, focusing on simple, nourishing, and flavourful food. Experience the luxury of healthy meals without lifting a finger.

Step six: Everything is prepared

Step seven: Your kitchen is reset

Who benefits from The Bare Experience?

This service is designed for busy individuals, couples, and households in Hackney who value fresh, simple, and nourishing food but lack the time, energy, or desire to manage it all. If you care about eating well and living a healthy lifestyle but find meal planning, shopping, cooking, and cleaning an added burden, this experience is for you. We help those who appreciate quality and convenience, without resorting to processed meals or restrictive diets. Our goal is to help you eat the way you truly want, giving you back time, energy, and peace of mind.

What you will gain

After The Bare Experience, you should feel lighter, more organised, and more in control of your week. Food will no longer feel like a constant task on your mental to-do list. You can open your fridge knowing that fresh, nourishing food you genuinely enjoy is ready when you need it, prepared around your needs. The biggest change is not just having meals prepared; it is gaining back time and mental space. Less planning, fewer decisions, less last-minute shopping, cooking, and cleaning, and less reliance on convenience food when life gets busy. Experience the calm and freedom of knowing: "I don’t need to think about food today. It’s already taken care of." Over time, eating well will feel natural, consistent, and sustainable, supporting your quality of life rather than adding another responsibility.

The one thing to remember

Everyday food can simply be taken care of. The Bare Experience removes the planning, shopping, cooking, and organising from your mental load, replacing it with fresh, personalised food ready in your own home. It’s not just about having meals prepared; it’s about opening your fridge and feeling the relief of knowing: “My food is taken care of. I can get on with my life.”

How Your Bare Service Works

Your journey starts with a conversation

Every new client begins by completing our short lifestyle and food assessment, followed by a complimentary 30-minute consultation.

This helps us understand your:

  • current food routine
  • lifestyle and schedule
  • food preferences
  • household requirements
  • usual grocery spending
  • cooking habits
  • goals
  • level of support required

Following your consultation, we'll recommend the Bare service that we believe best suits your needs and provide an indication of the expected service cost.

If you'd like to continue, we'll then start creating your personalised Bare experience.

Your menu comes first

Your menu is created around your food profile, preferences, household requirements and agreed grocery budget.

You'll receive your proposed menu to review before anything is purchased.

You can request reasonable changes and, once you're happy, approve your menu.

From there, we'll create the corresponding shopping list and confirm the estimated grocery cost.

Nothing is purchased or prepared until your menu has been agreed.

Two separate costs

To keep everything clear and transparent, your Bare experience is divided into two separate costs.

1. Your groceries

This is the cost of the ingredients required to prepare your agreed menu.

Once your menu has been created, you'll receive:

Your personalised menu
+
Your shopping list
+
Your estimated grocery cost

Groceries are purchased specifically for you and remain completely separate from The Bare Kitchen service fee.

Actual grocery costs may occasionally vary slightly due to availability, substitutions or changes in store prices.

Where substitutions are required, suitable alternatives will be selected while respecting your preferences, dietary requirements and agreed budget wherever reasonably possible.

Receipts are retained for transparency.

If a significant change would take your grocery spend above the agreed amount, we'll discuss this with you before making the purchase wherever reasonably possible.

2. Your Bare Kitchen service fee

This is the professional fee for delivering your agreed Bare Kitchen service.

Depending on your chosen service, this may include:

  • personalised meal planning
  • shopping list preparation
  • ingredient sourcing
  • grocery shopping
  • travel to your home
  • in-home food preparation and cooking
  • portioning
  • labelling
  • food storage and organisation
  • fridge/freezer organisation where required
  • simple reheating guidance
  • kitchen reset after preparation

Your service fee is based on your individual requirements and will always be confirmed before you decide to book.

Your grocery budget and your Bare Kitchen service fee are always kept separate.

Payment & booking

Once your menu, estimated grocery cost and service fee have been agreed, payment is required in advance to confirm your booking.

Payments are currently made by bank transfer.

You'll receive payment details together with your booking information.

Your booking is considered confirmed once the agreed payment has been received.

Shopping and food preparation will only take place once your booking and payment have been confirmed.

This means you'll always know what has been agreed before committing to your Bare service.

Food containers

Appropriate food storage is an important part of the Bare Kitchen experience.

For your first Bare Kitchen service, new, suitable food-storage containers will be required to help ensure consistent portioning, organisation and storage.

We'll recommend the appropriate number, sizes and types of containers based on your chosen service and individual requirements.

Once purchased, the containers belong to you and remain in your home for future Bare Kitchen sessions.

For ongoing services, containers should be:

  • clean and ready before your scheduled session
  • complete with their corresponding lids
  • in good condition
  • suitable for the food being prepared

Damaged, heavily worn or unsuitable containers may need to be replaced.

This allows us to maintain a consistent standard of organisation, portioning and presentation each week.

Food storage & Your Bare Week

Not every meal should be stored in exactly the same way.

Depending on the food being prepared and when it is intended to be eaten, some meals may be refrigerated while others may need to be frozen.

Your meals will be portioned, organised and labelled according to their intended use.

Where appropriate, you'll also receive simple storage, defrosting and reheating guidance.

Once your Bare Kitchen session has been completed, clients are responsible for following the storage, refrigeration, freezing, defrosting and reheating instructions provided.

Your kitchen

The Bare Kitchen prepares your food in your own home and kitchen.

Before your first service, we'll make sure your kitchen has the basic workspace, equipment and fridge/freezer capacity required for the service you've chosen.

Your kitchen should be accessible and reasonably clean at the beginning of your booked session so that preparation can begin as scheduled.

At the end of your session, the equipment and preparation areas used by The Bare Kitchen will be cleaned and your kitchen left organised.

We take care of the cooking — and we take care of your space too.

Allergies & dietary requirements

Your safety matters.

All known food allergies, intolerances and specific dietary requirements must be disclosed during your initial assessment.

If anything changes, please let us know before your next Bare Kitchen session.

Accurate information is essential for us to determine whether your requirements can be safely accommodated.

Certain allergies or specialist dietary requirements may mean that The Bare Kitchen is unable to provide a particular service.

Where this is the case, we'll always be transparent with you.

Menu changes

Your menu will be sent to you for approval before shopping takes place.

Reasonable changes can be requested before the agreed menu deadline.

Once your menu has been approved and ingredients have been purchased, changes may not always be possible.

Any changes that result in additional groceries, preparation time or other costs will be discussed with you before proceeding.

Cancellations & rescheduling

Every Bare Kitchen booking reserves dedicated time specifically for you.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your session, please give as much notice as possible.

Cancellation or rescheduling fees may apply depending on the notice provided and whether ingredients have already been purchased specifically for your booking.

Full cancellation and rescheduling conditions will be provided before your first confirmed booking.

Your personalised quote

Because every Bare Kitchen client is different, there isn't a single formula that works for everyone.

Your service will depend on factors such as:

  • how many days you'd like covered
  • which meals you'd like prepared
  • household size
  • portion requirements
  • menu complexity
  • preparation time
  • frequency of visits
  • level of support
  • any additional requirements

Following your assessment and complimentary consultation, we'll recommend the service that best fits your lifestyle.

Before confirming your booking, you'll receive a clear breakdown of:

You'll have the opportunity to review and approve everything before making your payment.

No surprises. No fixed formula. Just a service designed around you.
